No Referral Needed
Because Iowa is a "direct access" state, you can see a physical therapist without a referral from your doctor. Check with your insurance company first as some require that you see a doctor before receiving physical therapy treatment.
Most Insurance Plans Accepted
We are an in-network provider for most insurance plans, including Wellmark Blue Cross and BlueShield, United HealthCare, Medicare, Medicaid and many others. To verify that your insurance covers physical therapy and learn about any needed authorizations, call the number on the back of your card or visit your insurer's website.
You are responsible for any co-payment or deductible at each visit. Please check your insurance policy to understand the portion you're responsible for. If you don't have insurance, ask us about payment plan options. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
What to Bring
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance card and the patient forms below. Completing the forms in advance will allow us to start your first visit on time. Download, print and complete the forms and bring them to your appointment.
What to Wear
Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes, such as sweatpants or shorts and a t-shirt. Wear or bring athletic footwear as dress shoes may not allow you to safely perform stretches and therapeutic exercises. In some cases, you may be asked to change into a hospital gown in order for us to effectively treat the affected area of your body.
What to Expect
When you visit us, we'll make sure you feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. We'll start with a comprehensive evaluation to discover the root of your problem and form an effective plan of care. Following this, you'll receive your first treatment, including manual therapy where the therapist places his or her hands on the affected body region to begin the healing process. We combine manual therapy with supervised therapeutic exercises to retrain the body how to move appropriately, alleviate the source of the problem and balance the musculoskeletal system.
You'll be treated by licensed doctors of physical therapy who spend 100% of your session focused on your care and recovery.
